Why NSFWDL exists
Saving a video from an adult site shouldn't mean closing three pop-unders, dodging a redirect to a casino and guessing which of four Download buttons is real. NSFWDL is one page with one download button: paste the link, pick a quality, get the MP4.
It is a small, independent project, not a company with a marketing department. The same people who write the code read the error logs and fix the sites that break.
How the supported sites are kept working
20 sites have their own downloader page, because each one serves its videos differently. An automatic check runs every 15 minutes and raises an alert when a site's downloads start failing more often than usual, which is usually the first sign that the site changed something. The notes on each site's page – which link to paste, the usual qualities, how big files tend to be – come from how downloads from that site actually behave, not from guesswork.
For other sites, a universal downloader tries the link on a best-effort basis.
What happens to the link you paste
The link is sent to NSFWDL in the background, never put in the page address, so it doesn't end up in your browser history as an NSFWDL URL or in anything you share. NSFWDL fetches the video from the source site and passes it straight to you; files that must be joined together first live on the server only until your download finishes.
So that broken downloads can be investigated, the submitted link and basic download details are kept in operational records for up to 14 days, and anonymous daily totals for longer. There are no accounts, no download history you could log into, and no public list of what anyone downloaded. The Privacy Policy has the exact retention periods.
Public videos only
NSFWDL works with videos anyone can watch without logging in. It does not get around logins, paywalls, private accounts or copy protection, does not record live cams, and does not unlock OnlyFans, Fansly or similar subscriptions. Download only what you are allowed to save.
Free and Supporter
Free downloads need no account and go up to about 500 MB per file, with no daily cap. Supporter access raises that to about 2 GB and puts your downloads first when the server is busy. Resolution is never locked: a 1080p file that fits under 500 MB is free.
Supporter access changes limits and priority only. It never makes a private, paid or copy-protected video downloadable.
How NSFWDL is funded
The site is paid for by optional Supporter access and by a clearly labeled live-cam widget from an affiliate partner. There are no pop-ups or pop-unders, no forced redirects, no fake download buttons, no automatic new tabs, and no ad you have to click before your file downloads. Turning off optional analytics never disables the downloader.
Independent service
NSFWDL is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any of the sites it downloads from. Those sites control their own content and can change or remove it at any time.
