How to Download NSFW Videos from Reddit

To save a RedGifs clip shared on Reddit, paste the public post link into NSFWDL and save the MP4 – the Reddit app's short Share link works too. Videos hosted on Reddit itself currently fail on NSFWDL, because Reddit refuses the requests; NSFWDL tells you when that is the case.

Open the downloader for Reddit links

Copy the post link. In the Reddit app, tap Share → Copy link. On the website, copy the address of the post. The short link the app gives you works as it is.
Paste it into NSFWDL. Use the box on the home page or any downloader page; NSFWDL recognises a Reddit post and looks for the clip inside it.
Pick a quality. Choose from the MP4 qualities listed for the clip. Available quality and file size vary by upload.
Save the MP4. Tap Download. On Android the browser normally starts saving the file when it is ready. On an iPhone, tap Tap here to save the file when the button appears.

Which Reddit posts work

A post that plays a RedGifs clip: works, from the post link or the RedGifs link.
The short link from the Reddit app's Share button: works as it is.
A post linking to another video site: NSFWDL may follow the link automatically. If it can't, open the linked video page and paste that address instead.
A video uploaded to Reddit itself: currently fails on NSFWDL, because Reddit refuses the requests.
A whole subreddit, a user's profile or a gallery: one clip at a time only.

Why Reddit-hosted videos currently fail on NSFWDL

Reddit is currently refusing NSFWDL's requests for videos hosted on its own servers (v.redd.it). When NSFWDL detects this, it shows that message at once instead of offering download options that would fail. If the clip also has a public copy on RedGifs or another supported site, try that link.

Inside the Reddit app

Links opened inside the Reddit app load in its own built-in browser, which often can't save files. Copy the post link with Share → Copy link, then open nsfwdl.com in Safari or Chrome and paste it there. NSFWDL may show a reminder to use Safari or Chrome when it offers the save button inside a detected in-app browser.
